I’d buy that for a dollar

I’m think I heard somewhere that Turner Broadcasting will have to pay something like $500k for this whole aquateen thing. looks like their ad campaign worked. how much do you suppose it would cost to get ads running continuously all day on CNN, as well as every major news channel in MA/new england? yeah.

I remembered this as well, and posted in ‘s LJ… it’s not as if this sort of thing is without precedent either. “LED tagging/graffiti” has been around for a while.

^^^^ this is exactly what those guys did.

    Plus talk radio. And blogs.

But don’t think the prosecuting lawyers will miss that. Hopefully they’ll just settle quickly.

I don’t think the advertisers should necessarily be responsible if the city gives them free publicity by freaking out. There’s no evidence that there was any intent to cause a bomb scare.

They’ll be looking to set a precedent.

I really do think this is more complex than it might appear at first blush. I’m all for Turner getting off moderately light. But I understand – at least somewhat- how those responsible for safety look at things. And how negligence laws tend to be.

It may all come down to the fact Turner didn’t bother to get permits or notify the town, etc. We’ll see- I’ll be following this one.

seriously..i mean they are getting massive publicity that would’ve cost millions to do…but even if they had to pay 1mil its still cheap..i mean national/international publicity on every source possible (tv,radio, internet etc) just cause ppl likes to be overly dramatic. but hey that’s why advertising rox 🙂
