Props to Petter Solberg for winning the crown in Rally Great Britan, and snagging the WRC driver’s champion title. Damn fine job by an incredible driver!
Also, we’ll all be wishing a fond farewell to Tommi Makinen since it was his last rally. He’ll be going into retirement as well.
Uber-legend Colin McRae will be joining him unless he can find a ride. And to boot, Carlos Sainz announced during the rally that next season will be his last. could just be hot-headedness but WTH? it’s all young’uns now! Richard Burns will be joining Subaru again next year. every Impreza enthusiast is so damn happy to see this. It’s where he belongs. He would always complain “I’m not used to the 206.. it’s just not an Impreza.” I’m so looking forward to next season.
I know I’m late on this, so all you NASIOC guys can eat me :p . and the rest of you, sorry for the LJ-spam… but this is a big fucking deal to myself and most of the Subaru community 😀 (yes, there is such a thing sadly enough).

same here, i can’t understand people’s fascination with football/baseball/basketball/etc. when you have RALLY…or F1 (a distant second)…
funny thing is, once you get someone (almost anyone) to actually sit down and watch it for a longer period than a casual glance, they usually love it.
Prity is HOOKED on rally. entirely and completely. she’ll turn off whatever she’s watching to sit through 2 hours of rally footage with me. It’s such a crazy score to watch. the entire leaderboard can change in the last few stages, completely changing everything. look at rally catalunya I think it was… it rained on the last day, and Solberg went from like 7th or something up to 1st.

Hehehehehe… I was really surprised when nobody posted about it on my friends page. I don’t even see Pak’s. Hmmm. I almost made one but I didn’t have the time to do it justice, cuz I wanted to post pics and stuff but didn’t have the time. Dangit. I should have done it anyway.
Anyway! I am a lot like your girlfriend. I love watching WRC and I’ll stop everything to watch it. I even plan making dinner around it =0_0=. Heh. I cried when they won. I’m such a dork.
