The thing I don’t get about gas prices is how much it varies locally from one neighborhood to another. I used to religiously buy from a new, yet out of the way Chevron station that had good prices and fresh gas. Now they’re under new ownership/franchise-ship and they have teh suck.
Also, all the local Texacos here got bought out and turned into Shells and raised their prices. Meanwhile the ORIGINAL Shell stations around here have not raised their prices as much as the ex-Texaco Shells. WTF?
My favorite local flavor gas station is a little Asian mom’n’pop joint with a big sign out front: “HAH GAS”

does fresh gas really make a difference? just curious.
Yeah. Gas can stagnate. Old gas is bad gas.

They have public updated info on gas stations local to you (at least in the USA), not sure about elsewhere.
