Just got done watching F1 live from France.

Watching F1 is pretty sick in the first place. I mean, those cars just screw. I have to remind myself sometimes that the footage is in real time, and not sped up somehow. the way they take corners is just insane.

BUT… what F1 is to automotive racing, Schumacher is to F1. The guy is absolutely insane. Champion for 6 straight years among other records. holds the record for most wins at several tracks. Often regarded as “the best ever” in F1 racing by many authorities. watchin the man in action, there’s no denying it. He’s got to be a robot.

This last race, he’s just barely holding onto the ass end of the guy leading the race. some laps in, he gets in front of the guy. he starts kicking ass, laying down screaming lap times. it looks like he’ll need to take one more pit stop than everyone else. “very well.. I will just have to be more perfect.” he starts laying down even faster times, and wins the race by a huge margin. AFTER taking one more pitstop than everyone else. 4 full pit stops. everyone else only took 3.

They seriously need to invent a new form of car racing, where only Schumacher and clones of Schumacher can compete. Either that, or make him race in a 1988 escort.

just for reference, he has 1000-something points. His closest rival has ~400. I’m telling you, the man is sick.

I havn’t paid attention to F1 this year because I simply assumed that Schumacher would win AGAIN.

USually they just forget about him since he’s off in 1st place doing his own thing. they just talk about the fight for the other podium spots. This one was interesting since Alonso had the lead for so long. The guy is getting really good.

Well he has retired from F1 for the second time now in 2012 and was not able to win a single race with Mercedes for the past three years. However, it was great to see him back on the grid. Unfortunately, the German team has failed to provide him with a good car., but he’s still the most successful F1 driver in history…
