just curious what the story behind the original picture is? I assume ice racing?
yeah. back in 2001 when the new style STi came out in britan, there was an ice race being held wherever. some genius decides to take his brand new STi (27 total miles, I think) over to the other side of the lake where he could slide around away from everyone else. He soon found out the reason there was nobody on that side of the lake. He falls through and quickly becomes internet lore. at least subaru internet lore. more people have reposted “the STi in the ice” than just about any other topic.
