I sold my Impreza.

Well it happened. someone came and looked at it tonight. Prity signed an intent to sell, and they need to pick up some CT bill of sale forms. they’ll be picking it up on Monday. they gave a $1000 dollar deposit. I don;t think they’ll be backing out. so yeah. there she goes.

I want to save up for a WRX, cause that’s what I’ve been wanting all along. so I’m looking at something cheap to sit in for the next year or so. I’m thinking a CRX or something. They’re dirt cheap, relatively quick, and there’s an infinite amount of parts at teh local pick-apart yard. If I’m feeling industrious some weekend I could even pick up an integra motor (30 bucks, all you can carry ) to give it some more zip. I guess they were really good cars when they came out. I’ve been looking at reviews, and people from all walks of life seem to dig it. is it weird of me to like the car ?

anyways, I’ll miss my baby. we had a good run.

but seriously, CRX’s DO rock…such fun little cars. a friend of mine bought a bone stock yellow ’89 Si in absolutely perfect shape about a year ago, and i told her to leave it the hell alone, because everyone and their [ricer] cousin is looking for stock Si’s to ruin. pretty soon there won’t be any left.

they’re just a pain to insure if you want any kind of collision coverage, because the back of the car is essentially all glass…

Awww. It always makes me sad when people sell their Imprezas… probably because Subaru people are so nuts about their cars.

I wish I lived near you so that I could have bought it. Then again, you prolly beat on it a lot :p So maybe I wouldn’t have *LOL* I’m trying to find one hasn’t been beat on/raced so much. I’ve seen a couple of old ladies driving ’em around here, so maybe I’ll be in luck and they’ll decide they can’t drive them anymore and I’ll see an ad in the paper :p It is, of course, impossible to find a GC8 right outta the box nowadays.

My brother had a CRX back when I was younger and I loved his car (so did he until he accidently hydroplaned and the car bit it). Up until my Subaru fascination, I liked CRXs a lot. I have an aversion to Hondas now, but only because of all the wannabe Fast & the Furious kids running around in Civics.
